I’m 41w+12 tomorrow and getting induced! This is my first baby and I’m super nervous for tomorrow... I’ve read up some things to expect but wanted to hear some other people’s stories that have already experienced it. Is there anything I should prepare for? Is it really that bad?
I’m so excited to finally get to meet my little girl though, it’s HORRIBLE being this overdue Sad

Hi @Nss95 - can't help with stories as only 33 weeks, but wanted to wish you good luck. At least you know your baby will be with you soon.

Try googling positive induction stories, or hypnobirthing induction stories. I bet there are loads out there, but bad stories of all kinds of labour are easier to stumble on.

Can't advise, OP, but you may get more responses on the Childbirth board - they're good for stories of past experience on there!

Hey had my first in March & was induced at 37&6 as I had several reduce movement episodes through pregnancy.

I had an amazing experience!

Pessary was in 8:30pm on the Thursday night - things started within an hour or so. Pessary was removed Friday morning after examination as I wasn’t doing well with it.

They took me down to delivery suite around midday & broke my waters shortly after. I was 6cm dilated already.

I was able to move around & do what worked best for me which was the exercise ball & breathing & squatting through it all.

No drips etc just gas & air so although induction has horror stories it doesn’t says end up with lots of other intervention!

Baby arrived around 2pm.

Everyone was surprised how quick it happened & the midwife said I laboured really well & doc wanted to see the birth but happen too quick 🙈

Listen to your body you’ll do amazing keep us posted!
