Get yourself a birthing ball and get bouncing! yoga ball will do you can get them at sports direct or argos for £6.99
Be prepared for a long wait and for it to not happen instantly.

I was induced at 39 weeks and it was a long but amazing experience! We asked a lot of questions at every stage (I ended up having the drip and epidural). I second the birthing ball, and anything that will make you feel comfortable and relaxed during the process (pillows, room sprays, music etc).

Also depending on where you’re being induced, you might be able to have baths or spend time in the birthing pool which I found amazing for early contractions so you could take a bikini / tankini.

I’d also recommend asking for gas and air during early examinations -for me being examined when I wasn’t very dilated was the only bit I found painful.

Good luck - you’ll be amazing!

I was induced with my first at 36 weeks, you'll probably be given a sweep if they can which won't be comfortable. Walk loads once they've done the pessary, stairs if possible!

It can be a wait, but mine wasn't really, the pessary went in about 7:30/8pm and baby was out by 5:30 the following day. Think I was on the labour ward for about 12 hours altogether - though they broke my waters in the end as I wasn't progressing too much.

I've got a few weeks left and will be induced again at 36 weeks, I'm hoping it goes as well!
