CUB screening

Hi, my MW offered me CUB screening at my booking in appt today for at my 12 week scan. My partner was a bit caught off guard as I had forgotten to speak to him about screening and tests. I thought I would just get it as standard, I know most people do.

I'm really interested in people's opinions whether you would get this additional test or not? And what your reasons were?

I took every test I was offered with the ‘I’d rather know and be prepared’ theory

I've always had the combiners screening. I'd like to know if there was a potential issue so I can prepared. If my baby was to have DS for example I'd want to make sure we as a family we're prepared for that and the level of care needed etc

Thank you, I am in the same boat, think my partner just wasn't expecting the question and he was a bit shocked. I did mean to pre warn him, but totally forgot and to be fair I only knew it was coming cos I head read into it all. Think we'll go for the extra scans x
