HELP! Can someone talk me down please?

I've seen my midwife, this morning and she breezily said we're 2 thirds of the way, not long now!

Now don't get me wrong I am well aware of my dates, 9 weeks tomorrow until my due date in fact. However, her saying 2/3 of the way seems a lot sooner than 9 weeks left and this has freaked me out to an extent.

I have a nice list of all the things that are considered essential and nice to have for when my mini fidget gets here, we've got a few bits but I have felt no urgency at all, because, like I said, 9 weeks it's AGES! That is until today!! I'm now in a bit of a tiz, looking at this list and thinking, I need to go shopping! My OH on the other hand has been working his was through the house doing little DIY jobs and decorating here and there making sure the house is ready 😂

Rational me is very much, there's still ages, its only little things (think nappies and cleaning bits mainly)

If mini fidget was to decide it wanted to come today, bar having my hospital bag packed, we are in a state to bring them home and be ok.

Irrational me is sitting here thinking omg omg we are so not ready.

So please someone give me a head wobble and tell me I've nothing to worry about??

I am probably about the same as you, due July 21st.

The way I look at it (as also need to keep baby nice and snug awhile yet as my house is a builders yard)... remember how LONG...how v v v long the first 10 weeks were?? That is how long these weeks will be

You are an actual star @porridge I hadn't even thought of looking at it that way, and it felt even longer because I waited for my 2nd missed cycle to get my booking in ap sorted.

Congratulations 😁 definitely keep yours snug! You must be so excited getting the house all renovated and perfect first? Be a nice weekend baby for you if on time, 21st was what I'd worked mine out to be too! Dating scan said 18th, so who knows 😂

Tbh I wouldn't put the stuff off much longer, the last 6 weeks of my pregnancy I fell back into super exhausted mode and was in pain from a pressed upon nerve. I was so glad we had gotten almost everything done already. I struggled greatly in the last week to get the last few bits done.

They'd only been put off because I had a horrible cold for about 2.5 weeks beforehand.

Get the hospital bag packed just in case and you'll be fine.
That way if baby did arrive early, you would have everything you need while in the hospital and the rest could be sorted from your hospital bed - people collecting things for you or online ordering
