Growth scans

I know many people here have had growth scans that have been really inaccurate. Just wondering if this was after one growth scan or has anyone had two growth scans weeks apart that both showed baby was big, and then went on to have a small baby?

I had the reverse...baby scanned as being 4 to 5lbs; a week later was born full term and weighed 7lbs 14.
I had growth scans every 2 weeks for 4 months and for all, bar one, she measured below the 1st centile.
No idea where she was hiding!

Same here @Deadheadstickeronacadillac was told baby wasn't growing and would be tiny and to prepare for all sorts of horrible illnesses.... obviously we were terrified. But she was born 37 weeks at 7lbs 6oz and absolutely fine, definitely not the under 5lbs we were told!

Later on they are quite cramped in there so I can see how measurements can be wrong. How big have you been told OP?

My scan at 32 weeks estimated baby was already 7.5 lbs, she weighed less than 7 lbs when born at 40 weeks.

I had growth scans due to a circulatory condition and to buck the trend, they were 100% accurate for me- consultant predicted she’d be between 7 and a half and 8 pounds and she was 7lb13!

I had them fortnightly from 28 weeks and she was projected to be 8lbs8ish. She was 5 days late and 7lbs2! It’s a load of bollocks.

Thanks all, they were right with my first pregnancy. Told me he was 6lbs at 31 week scan and would put on half a pound a week from there to the end. He was born at 38 weeks at 9lb 6oz so they were spot on with their prediction.
For this one growth scan at 31 weeks, they said he was 5lb. Today 5 weeks later that he's weighing 8lb. So he's put on a little over half a pound a week since then. So on their prediction if I go to full term he'll be 10lb

I had 2 that and can't remember estimated weight but it was on top centile line, he was born 9lbs at 38 weeks

My dd was predicted to be 8lbs by growth scans but was tiny at 5lbs7oz.

My first crossed percentiles and I was sent for growth scans and was told he'd be a solid 9 1/2 pounds, he was 8 1/2 pounds so a fair way off.
