Hi I'm 29 weeks pregnant for this whole pregnancy I have been constipated... first due to my anti sickness tablets now because of iron tablets. Anyway when I went to the toilet I had quite a lot of fresh blood.. it was definitely from the back passage lol do I need to worry? I'm thinking its probably hemorrhoids? Anyone experienced this?

Does it feel stingy or sore when you wipe? If so its probably a small tear.

Haemorrhoids are very common in pregnancy. Not fun! Do things feel swollen around the area? Is it painful to pass stool at all? If so then that's prob it...

Obviously best to see a GP if it continues and you are unsure, I should add. For peace of mind at the very least

Pretty likely piles. I would go to the GP. They might give you some lactulose for the constipation (worked a treat for me)

Either a tear or piles. How low is your iron? I would swap at least one daily tablet to liquid iron - a spatone sachet in orange juice, and try and have the hour before and after taking iron bread and tea and coffee free. I can’t remember what else inhibits absorption, orange juice helps it. The more that’s absorbed the less gets into your bowel and constipates you.
Also take a small glass of prune juice daily :)

I had this, was piles. I went to the GP to get confirmation that it definitely was piles and nothing that needed further investigation. GP prescribed Laxido which sorted things out pretty quickly. I would go to the GP and get it sorted.

After using the loo today I'm sure its either piles or a tear as things feels sore thanks for the advice everyone :)

Squatty potty (or cheaper knock off), lots and lots of water to drink, dried fruit daily.
