When did you start buying things?

I'm -barely- only just pregnant (around 4/5 weeks) I have my booking in appointment on the 28th and way off a 12 week scan.

Did anyone start buying just little things just to have something physical to be excited over. I absolutely cannot wait to start getting little bits and pieces but also feel I'll look like a nutter.

So my question is, did you buy as soon as you found out or what until after 12 weeks scan?

If you want to start buying thing do so your not going to jinx anything.

Got the travel system and car seat at around 30 weeks. Still haven’t bought or nappies or anything like that though - I figured they’re easy enough to come by later on anyway!

But we’re all different and if it helps you to start looking at/buying things then do it! I remember a friend of mine buying stuff very early on as she was having a shocking time with sickness and it cheered her up. I asked her whether she didn’t think it was too early and she just said ‘if something happens to this pregnancy, I’m going to be really sad whether I’ve bought stuff or not - having a few babygros around won’t make me sadder.’ Which I thought was a fair enough response!

First baby, I did get 1 baby grow after 12 weeks scan - but most stuff I gnot after 20 weeks, nursery furniture and buggy I was 30weeks.
This pregnancy, because I had a miscarriage last year, I’ve really held back- haven’t bought anything yet and I’m 20weeks. I’ve said I might start organising what I kept from dc1, but won’t buy anything until I’m 27weeks and baby is viable.
