Horrible period pain 4 weeks postpartum

Anyone else experienced this so soon after birth? I'm not sure if it's period pain or uterus contracting from birth. As far as I'm aware my period hasn't started either apart from a bit of spotting which I though was just the last bit of postnatal bleeding.

I didn’t but I am breastfeeding and my periods still haven’t restarted at five months! I had bleeding and spotting for nearly six weeks after birth but no pain after the first week or two.

Might be worth getting it checked out if it’s severe and/or not settling.

Even with EBF my postnatal bleed ran into my first period so I literally bled for 7 weeks give or take 1-2 days.

I'm formula feeding so I guess they'll come back faster this time. With my dd I breastfed for 6 months so they didn't come back until I stopped. Just hope it either starts or the pain subsides.
