I am hoping to see if anyone is based around South Lanarkshire and using Wishaw hospital facilities. I have had heard such mixed things on their scans, delays etc. Can anyone share their experience?

No feedback on scans/delays specifically but the actual maternity care ie during labour etc generally gets such good feedback. Lots of my friends who live in Burnside and could choose between Wishaw and Glasgow - all chose Wishaw due to this. It gets a lot of bad press but I think maternity is one area it actually does really well.

In saying that, I had DD in QEUH (not south Lanarkshire though) and was also really happy with the care I received. If you do have the option to choose, a lot comes down to the luck of the draw and the midwife you get on the day I guess!

I'm north Lanarkshire and stay near the hospital. Had both my kids there too. Didn't have any issues

Great thanks both. I've heard of folk not getting scans till they were 16 weeks and I panicked x
