Need help. 12 weeks and sickness has got worse

Hey ladies looking for help or support.

12 weeks with my 2nd, have suffered with nausea and odd bits of sickness for about 8 weeks but for the last 2 days the sickness is alot worse. I am being sick 3 or 4 times, struggling to do anything without feeling sick.

I have managed to eat small amounts and I am digesting most before being sick but it's really getting me down now.

I know with my first it tailed off about 14 weeks but feeling sorry for myself and feeling horribly guilty that DH is having to do everything as well as run around after the toddler (who only ever wants me)

Anyone got any miracle suggestions or other sage advice?

Thanks

I had a horrible first trimester. I’m now 16 weeks and aside from heartburn, indigestion and still being very tired I feel much better. You will feel better soon I’m sure.

Have you seen your GP? There are medications that are safe

BelulahBlanca · 12/05/2019 18:46

I drank thick drinks like Milkshakes.

If your sickness has suddenly got worse you could have a uti. Speak to your Dr.

Week 13 was the worst for me. I did get tablets from the docs but didn't really take many. It got better after about week 17 for me. I know it's easy to worry about nutrition, but my son is now 8 weeks old and my boring diet in those early weeks has not affected his development.

I know you've heard this before but it will pass! Let other people help you out if they are happy to offer.

You poor thing. Get to the GP and tell them you must try some medication. It’s miserable as hell and medication is available to make you better

Another one here suggesting talking to your GP about medication.

Also, try not to feel guilty about your husband. It’s his baby too. He’s not going through the shit bits of pregnancy, so it really is his responsibility to pick up this now.

Hope you start feeling better soon.

Thank you for all the support and advice.

I managed to get to work on Monday but it was a struggle. Had today off with the toddler and was more successful (despite the wretching when changing the dirty bum) so hoping the sickness had a peak as is now tailing off (just not the heart burn!)

If it gets worse again I will get to the docs cause I cant handle this getting worse again.

Now to hope the toddler is tired enough to stay asleep most the night !
