Choosing a hospital in IG9

I have just moved to Buckhurst Hill from Richmond and been given a choice of Whipps Cross in Leytonstone or Princess Alexandra in Harlow. I don't know either hospital but have not heard good things about WC. I would love some advise over where to choose and some feedback on the care in hospital and after care.

Thanks

Hi there, I too live in IG9 (and got married in Richmond!!).....sorry no relevance!

I am 39+5 and booked in at PA in Harlow. So far they have been wonderful and all I know who have given birth there have nothing but good to say.

My sis and some friends went to Whipps and in my opinion its not very nice! Thats just going by what I saw when my sis was there and their lack of very good security and very poor after care. On the other hand I do know people that have been fine.....

TBH I have had a lot of mixed reviews on Whipps and nothing but good words about PAH so I would book in there......

One thing you can do it just book in at one, then go and tour them both. Then you can always change your mind easily.....

Hope this helps!

Thanks Nat that does help. So hard making decisions when you don't really know the area where you live!!!

Might be no relevance...but small world huh.

Good luck with the birth.
