4D scan if I don’t want to know the sex?

Currently 23 weeks and planning to book a private scan for around 32 (just because 20weeks to full term is such a long time to wait)

We don’t want to know the sex - could a 4D scan give the game away? Is it likely we’ll see something?

If so I’d do a normal, non 4D scan, or even skip it all together - although I would really like to see baby at least once more before birth.

We’ve just done this, the sonographer(?) asked us to turn away at the start so she was sure she was at the head and nothing would be visible then she did the rest of the scan at low resolution so even if baby moved it wouldn’t be obvious. Still got some lovely photos.

I had a 4d scan with my first at 30 weeks and didn’t want to know the sex. We told the sonographer at the start and it was fine.

I'm going for one today and if 20week was correct then we know the sex already but been told they will ask at the beginning of the appointment if we want to know. I imagine it's not guaranteed but they'll probably just be more careful where they scan.

Ok thanks a lot! Seems I can go ahead with the 4D scan and still get the surprise we want when baby comes.

Ours confirmed from the 2d part that we were definitely having a girl, but the 3d part focused on her face and one of her foot so we didn't see anything that would've given it away if we hadn't wanted to know :)
