Sent back form to MATERNITY ALLOWANCE of confirmation of finishing work, when did you get your first payment ?

Sent my confirmation back to maternity allowance to say I have finished work, when did you receive your first payment? Did you receive a letter back etc ?

I waited just over a week then rang them.

They'd received my letter but not done anything yet. She did what needed to be done over the phone and gave me all my payment dates and details.

So I'd leave it a week - then call.

Just be prepared to queue on the phone for ages!

Update for anyone who searches the same as me , I didn't get a reply back so rang them a week after I sent it, they was super helpful, all was sorted they just hadn't sent me the confirmation, so basically after a week give em a call and you will have your mind put at ease
