Booking appointment blood tests

I definitely should have asked this in my booking appointment itself, but to be honest I was a bit nervous and before I knew it the appointment was over!

The midwife took blood and urine - do I get the results of these at my 12 week scan? I can't even remember what they were testing for, I just handed over the samples 😂 My booking appointment was about 3 weeks ago and my dating scan is in 10 days so I'm assuming this is the case?

I got my results at my 16 week midwife appointment, however, midwife said if anything came up that showed concern they'd contact me beforehand.

Mine showed I had a negative bloody type so would need to have an anti-d injection. I got the appointment letter for the injection through before my 16 week appointment and thought nothing of it, then midwife discussed it with me at the 16 week appointment :)

Hope this helps!

Was told same as bonnie. If any concerns they would ring me, otherwise she'd see me at 16 weeks 😊

I was told by the midwife to ring the GP after 7 days and check if they were back. GP asked me to go in for an appointment due to low iron and high white cells. I'm sure someone will ring you if there is a problem. They said if I hadn't rang they would have sent me a letter inviting me in.

I was advised by the midwife to ring the GP after 7 days for results. When I rang they asked me in due to low iron and high white cells. They did say that if I hadn't rang they would have sent me a letter inviting me in. So, I am sure someone will contact you if there are any concerns but no-one would begrudge you a call to midwife/GP to check :)

I was told that I would be contacted if there was anything amiss, but that I wouldn't otherwise. Then I learned my negative blood group at my next midwife appointment. If in doubt, call your gp to check if they'll be proactive or not.

Had to type that damn thing twice because the website crashed and now I can't delete one of them 🤣
