Leaving at 33 weeks due to my set work holidays, I don't actually start maternity until my due date. It seemed really early when I was first pregnant, but I'm on my feet all day full time and have pgp so by the end of the day I'm in a lot of pain and I can't wait to leave!

Really depends how u are feeling. I'm doing the same type of job as I did in my previous pregnancy but different company. My last pregnancy was so bad I had to go out months early with no company sick pay. This time I'm entitled to full company sick pay but genuinely don't have a reason to go out sick for the last few weeks Hmm. 3 weeks to go now until I'm due to start maternity at 38 weeks

I had planned to work up until a couple of weeks before due date.
However I felt so utterly terrible that by 22 weeks I couldn't take anymore!

Later on I discovered I had a dangerous underlying condition during the pregnancy that could have caused still birth so I was glad I had not added the additional stress of working.

I agree with others, I depends on your job, your health and just how you feel overall. My job is very physical being on my feet all shift, and doing early mornings or late night shifts so I'm already struggling at 25 weeks!

I'm planning on going off at 34 weeks just because I'm struggling with the physical work and the early morning starts, but if I had an office job I would probably finish as late as possible but it all depends on how you're feeling.

We also have no air conditioning in our workplace and the place gets ridiculously hot in the summer (it's already too hot now!) so that's another reason I'm going off early, and why everyone else thinks I should! Smile

I finished at 35 weeks but had cut back in a few ways in the couple of weeks before that.

I’m a social worker and visit lots of homes, drive a lot etc. So I stopped any risky visits, reduced driving and focussed on admin the last couple of weeks.

Dd was delivered at 36+6 so I didn’t want to push my luck if ds was similar! Scheduled section for 39 weeks so hoping for a couple more weeks of rest....
