14 weeks pregnant and need to loose weight

I’m nearly 15w with my second and already feel absolutely huge and disgusting. I’ve had terrible sickness from week 3 so have been eating what I fancied when I fancied and have already gained around a stone.
It’s really getting me down, I just feel repulsive. I remember feeling like an orangutan in the final weeks of the last pregnancy but this is starting already. I just feel like I’m a huge blob and it’s just going to keep getting worse for the next 6 months!
I’m not being silly here (obviously a bit dramatic!) but I am just in the obese category for BMI since gaining this weight, so it’s not too much of a stretch to want to shift it or at least slow it down as much as possible! Has anyone done this before? I just feel awful all the time, already achy hips and exhaustion- feel like I’m 8 months already 😭 just looking for people who feel the same I guess.

Slimming world is supported by Royal College of Midwives in pregnancy

I gained a lot in the first trimester too. I just focussed on getting my eating habits back to normal once i stopped feeling sick and the weight gain slowed right down. It's such a short time we are pregnant in the frand scheme of things that I just don't think it is worth stressing too much about these things.. my view is it is best to just try and focus on being as healthy as possible for self and baby.

I'd put on a stone by the time I was 10 weeks and was reassured by hospital staff that it was healthy.

I went on to gain a further 2 stone through the rest of my pregnancy so the weight gain obviously slowed down later in the pregnancy and everything balanced out fine. Having said that I don't know what's healthy for you, just thought I'd share my experience.

Good luck with your pregnancy Smile
