Hi, i'm only about 5 weeks but just wondered if it was normal to have constant pain in my lower abdomen and back, it's similar to my period pains only a lot milder. I read implantation pains can cause this but thought I'd be past that now? Just a little nervous as we've been trying a year and really don't want anything to go wrong! TIA :)

I had this for the first 12 weeks on and off, unless you also have bleeding I wouldn't worry, I'm now 16 weeks and everything's fine Smile

Clinging to this thread.

I've got my positive and an around 3 weeks and keep getting waves of period pains.

AF is due on Monday and in absolutely terrified ahwa going to turn up.

I'll post a pic of my test as it's fairly strong for 9dpo and 11dpo! Clearblue was taken at 11dpo and the pink test at 9dpo!

I was like that in the first trimester, I think it was just stretching pains as dd got bigger.

If there’s no acute pain or bleeding you should be fine. Congrats!

I had awful period like pains for the first 6-7 weeks and I'd had some bleeding aswell I honestly felt so rough. I was so worried I was loosing our baby as no one close to me had experienced this with pregnancy before. I ended up having an early scan and everything was fine. Currently 17+ weeks. I so Convinced I was having an ectopic or a miscarriage. Please don't worry to much and if your really concerned go to the dr so they can refer you for an early scan at 6+ weeks x

Just to add, for me this was how I knew I was pregnant with DS2! Had it in both pregnancies.
