UTI?

I'm 22 weeks and the past few days ive been having pain in my flank and constant need to urinate.
I'm at work today until 1500, so i guess mainly looking for tips to help ease the potential UTI until i can be seen after work. I've drank a liter of water already.
(And I'm reassuring myself i haven't hurt my baby 😬).

I remember feeling something uti ish but midwife never said anything when she did a dipstick test and it did go. I had bladder pain but not the classic horrendous pain at the very end of a wee. Of course weeing a lot is normal plus you're drinking more. But utis can be a problem so get it checked but probably nothing. Avoid sex and baths in the mean time and go to the loo when you need to go. Good luck.

Never tried them hun. It might not be that, just things moving/pressure related to pregnancy. Just check any meds are suitable for pregnant women. xxxx

I suffered a lot with UTIs. Don't drink caffeine or anything fizzy-found that helped. Loads of water. Cranberry juice doesn't do anything & in my opinion sugar (in the juice) makes any infection thrive. (Since I've gone on a sugar detox I haven't had a UTI or thrush which were regular occurrences for me)
Def get it checked tho. I was consultant led due to my UTIs when pregnant in case it caused early labour (it didn't). Plus takes about 30seconds for the GP/nurse to check.
Good luck Thanks

I'm 8 weeks + 5 and I've just started antibiotics for a UTI. The doctor said it was 50/50 if my symptoms were caused by an infection or just inflammation, so prescribed me them anyway. I wasn't going to take them hoping it would go away just by drinking lots, until I woke up in extreme discomfort down there this morning, and passing urine hurts like hell. So decided a weeks course was better than risking it getting any worse!

Lots of water definitely helped ease my pain, and even de-caf coffee irritates my bladder so would probs avoid that if you do drink it.

Hope everything was OK!
