Hi saw I cane on my period on the 13th of April for 7 days (regular 28 day cycle) however to my surprise I came on again six days later on the 26th and bled for 8-9 days very unusual for me. For some reason I did several tests which all showed a faint positive. I then did a clear blue which sis not pregnant. But that was an hour later with having lots to drink.

I had my day 21 bloods taken which said normal and hcg levels which doctor said was also normal. To my surprise I got a call today to re do my hcg bloods as there were actual ‘abnormal’ but said no further action however they did another blood test which was required but couldn’t tell me why or what’s wronf and what needs checking. I am very concerned st this point. What are they checking for am I pregnant or are they unsure? Or am I not if not why do they want to check again? Please help in going out my mind with worry. I’m also spotting again!

As far as im aware hcg will only be present if you are or recently have been pregnant. Is that all they were testing for do you know?

Yes apart from the day 21 bloods the tfidnto see my progesterone levels which were al normal. They said hcg was abnormal but no future action. Then I recurved a call today and was called in today to re do the hcg. They only did the hcg for pregnancy check as far as I am aware

Perhaps you had a chemical pregnancy (where an egg is fertilised and starts to implant but doesn’t fully continue to a pregnancy) this could leas to a lower than expected level of hCG for pregnancy but higher than normal for no pregnancy. I wonder if the repeat bloods are to see which way the levels are going.

An update so basically my levels which were considered abnormal was 81 there now fine and is 5. Ive come on my period and was wondering why it was 81 is there something wrong with me did I miss carry or was I not pregnant to begin with. My appointment with the doctor for a follow up isn’t till next week and no one can give me answers till then. Very confused

Sometimes it's better not to know. But you're fine now and can carry on ttc. There's no further action needed.
