I have an appointment with the consultant tomorrow at ‘clinic’ I’ll be 39+6. Originally my appointment was scheduled for 40+6 but this was changed and I have no idea why.
I’ve been under ‘shared care’ throughout my pregnancy but the last time I actually saw the consultant was after the 12 week scan where he decided he was happy for me to be under midwife led care, which led to much confusion last week when I was told I had to see the consultant and was in fact under this ‘shared care’ (definitely a lack of communication throughout my pregnancy unfortunately).
Anyways to the point of my post, as I clearly have no idea what’s going on (can you tell I’m a FTM?!) I was wondering if anyone could tell me what to expect at the consultant appointment tomorrow? My MW told me they might give me an induction date and that I should phone when I’m out to book a sweep with them as they’re unsure whether the consultant will do one. Surely there’s more purpose to the appointment than purely booking my induction? And I didn’t think I could have a sweep before reaching my EDD anyway, even if it will be the next day?
Sorry for rambling but any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!
