Trapped wind or cramping?

Well this is a delightful topic.

What does trapped wind feel like? I have bad stomach pains under my ribs and am wondering if it's trapped wind or something more sinister?

I'm 6 weeks pregnant. Thanks all!

Under the ribs - trapped wind. Low belly / above pubis / low down in the butt area - cramping

I think the best way to tell would be to pass gas or go to the loo and see if that stops the cramping. I had awful cramps quite low down but they stopped as soon as I went to the loo so I think it was just that.

Try squatting or lying with your bum in the air, see if that helps.
