I have just come back from a midwife appointment and ive been sure ive been having contractions and stuff for the last few weeks on and off, to find my cervix completely closed. I am devastated because i was sure it would work and put me into labour. My partner and family were sure i was going to go into labour today or tomorrow but its seeming less likely now. I know you can still go into labour if your cervix is closed. I just want to meet my little one! Anyone else had a closed cervix and still went into labour so soon after a failed sweep.

I was sure i wasnt going to go overdue:( I know babies will come when they want to on their schedule, i just really dont want to be induced, im planning a water birth! and ive know i was pregnant from really early so i feel like ive been pregnant forever!

I'm in the same boat! 40+6 today and the water birth I'd so wanted looks increasingly unlikely! My hospital's policy is induction at 41+5 and I was quite tearful after booking it yesterday. I know there is still time but I've had zero signs of labour so far. It's so hard isn't it, my dp was trying to console me that at least we know the end is in sight one way or another, so I'm trying to focus on that. I guess you have longer than me for things still to happen so sending lots of luck your way!

I'm also in the same boat, got back from midwife appointment an hour ago.
Baby was too high up to do a sweep. This is my second and I'm 40+4 today.
Was induced last time at 41 weeks, just booked me in for induction next Friday when I'll be 40+12.
I've also been having contractions on and off for weeks so feeling a bit annoyed!
I'm determined to stay positive and go with the flow this time but that's easier said than done 😉
Sending lots of labour vibes your way ladies!
