Wrong sex on ultrasound

Has anyone ever been told the wrong sex from ultrasound? I'm aware it happens just not how often.

Not me because I didn’t want to know, but someone I worked with.

One of my close friends was told a girl, they paid for a private scan and were then told it was a boy 😆

It happens from time to time, but it's not an exact science.

Happened to my DIL. As luck would have it, she was actually delighted when she got the other flavour baby in the end!

Tech 1 very confident she could see a little dingle. Tech 1 proved wrong by DD.

Yes, both my sister and a friend were told they were having girls. Both had boys. Apparently it's much more common that way round.

Someone I worked was told they were having a girl and ended up with a boy.

my niece was told she was having a girl on 2 different scans. the first female of that generation after 8 boys. We all went mad and bought every dress and doll we could find. then he was born. :)

I was told boy at 16 weeks only for a huge shock to be told he was actually a she at my NHS 20 week scan! I'd always wait

Never and im on pregnancy no.7 but baby no.6. Boys are easier to see but mistakes happen.

With DD2 they couldn't see properly (she never has been cooperative!) But they said it was more likely girl than boy.

Friend of mine got told girl but had a little boy.
