2cm dilated at sweep

Hello,

I had my sweep today and the consultant told me I was 2cm dilated and she could feel the baby's head. Does this mean that I will go into labour soon? I'm really hoping it happens over the next few days!

Yes. I predict tomorrow. I have excellent form for predicting baby's arriving.

I had a sweep when I was 1cm and the midwife said she could feel baby's head and could have broken my waters (obviously she didn't). This was at 11am on the Wednesday - DS was born at 12.46pm the following day! So fingers crossed for you!

I was 2cm dilated with waters already gone when MW performed a sweep, didn't deliver baby for another 2 days though.
