I’m 7 weeks with my first and I am absolutely staggered at how tired I am. I can hardly function outside of staying in bed most days and eating a little (my appetite has also disappeared and the thought of most food makes me nauseous).

This is a bit of a misery loves company thread really. I don’t wish this on anyone else, but it would be good to feel less alone. Or have someone tell me that it gets better!

Had CFS for 19 years....

Actually the pregnancy hasn't made it too bad... currently 14 weeks.

I stared acupuncture last year due to fertility problems and I can't remember my CFS being this good..... so I think I can attribute it to that. Currently having treatment once a month

Although.... I do still sleep more than the average person by a mile ha ha!

I did feel rubbish 7-10 weeks though.... but tbh I just put that down to normal pregnancy symptoms. 🤷‍♀️

Hey! I have CFS but it had actually improved by the time I got pregnant. I'm 6 weeks and the fatigue is pretty bad but nothing like as bad as CFS fatigue, so I feel very lucky! Sorry you're struggling, OP

Nervousdave · 08/05/2019 17:34

I have post-stroke fatigue (common side effect of the brain damage), although I was gradually improving my work stamina. I'm 8+4 and struggling with tiredness/fatigue and feeling drained all the time. I really want to be able to exercise, but just getting through work at the moment makes me crash on the sofa from 5 - bedtime.
The constant nausea and occasional full blown exorcist vomiting isn't helping my general mood though! This morning I made it half way down my road before losing my half bagel in a bush and heading back home to try and have breakfast again Sad
Can't wait for the second trimester!

Hi everyone! Welcome to the sleepy pregnancy club... Hmm

My CFS has got so much better and up until a week ago I was managing over 6,000 steps a day (love a bit of FitBit data!). This week it’s like I’ve gone back to the worst of my fatigue and it’s horrible!

PrayingandHoping Your message reminded me that someone had recommended a fertility acupuncturist to me a while ago. I’ve dropped them a message and I’ll see if that helps.

stitchwitch84 I’m so glad that you’re not suffering too badly. Long may it last! How much had your CFS improved by? What’s your magic potion?! Wink

Nervousdave You poor thing!!! There’s no positive way to spin throwing up in a bush is there? I’m sorry you’re struggling so much. I’m desperate to exercise too, especially when you read so much about keeping active and eating well. Throwing up and not being able to move just adds to the premature mum guilt imo...

Hey, I'm 36 weeks and have hEDS (hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome). To be honest this pregnancy has been absolute hell and I cant wait for it to be over. I wasnt well before I fell pregnant, and I have been so much worse during. I have had to come off all my medications and painkillers and can now barely walk and the fatigue is just awful. I just want it to be over.

Sorry you are suffering too. Hope the fatigue settles down once you come out of the first trimester and that you find it easier than me.

I have fibromyalgia and am 21 weeks pregnant. No idea if what im experiencing is pregnancy or fibro related but im tired most of the time, have stomach pain most of the time and am generally feeling run down and not up to my usual activities. Sleeping is proving difficult at the minute too.

GoldPaperStars · 10/05/2019 16:58

Hi all. Hope you’re all doing as well as you can be?

I’m feeling a bit desperate today because all I’ve done this week is stay in bed napping and eating very occasionally. I feel nauseas ALL the time. I’m only 7+1 and I just don’t know how I’m going to keep going until December and then have the energy to give birth and look after a baby! It’s not that I don’t want to be pregnant, I’m just becoming SO scared.

I have Ankylosing spondylitis and fibromyalgia - I also started work again this week after 10 months off in severe pain. I'm 10 weeks pregnant and my pain subsided for most of that until I went back to work - I'm in agony! Luckily my new job are very understanding (they don't know I'm pregnant yet) but are happy for me to have a walk whenever I need to loosen myself up again.

Mumoftwox · 10/05/2019 20:50

hi everyone, I have mixed connective tissue disease and I'm currently 37 weeks. I'm feeling quite tired again which went away for a while I was so fatigued until about 20 weeks then went away and actually had more energy than I ever do not being pregnant but am feeling pretty floored again!! hard to know if it's my illness, pregnancy in general or running about after a 6 and 4 year old lol!! hope yous all feel better soon x
