Test getting fainter

Hi all,

I am currently 8dp a 5 day frozen embryo transfer and yesterday I caved in and tested. The line was faint but I could see it without squinting. Today I tested (to see if the lines are getting darker) and the line is barely visible. I have to squint and hold it up to see it.

Does any one have any similar experiences that resulted in a baby??

I'm driving myself crazy xxx

Have you been using the first urine of the day and a reliable ‘early results’ pregnancy test such as First Response? It’s incredibly early to be testing (but I know the temptation!!)

When did your clinic tell you to test? In my first cycle I was told to get bloods done at 12dpt or do a urine test at 14/15dpt.

I was lucky for my second cycle, my clinic did bloods at 7dp5dt in January - they warned me it might be too early to detect serum levels but I was still in the country then so they were happy to do it. Came back positive (as did 2 further blood tests once we got home) and, at 6+6, my viability scan revealed twins. I am now 18+5 and counting down the days till my anomaly scan.

Thank you for your message.

Yes I have been using the first response tests as I feel they are clear to see. I took both the tests in the evening.

My clinic do not offer blood tests. My official test day is Friday which would be 11days post transfer.

Don’t test in the evening. If you’re going to test, test using first morning Urine when your HCG will be most concentrated.

So it turned out to be a chemical pregnancy. The lines on the tests were there one day and faint the next and back again the following day. It was all so strange.

They thought it may have been ectopic but have now ruled that out.
