Exactly three weeks and one day ago I had to take the morning after pill as a precaution two days after having sex and a week later I had some spotting but now my period is already 5 days late. I this normal or is there a chance I could be pregnant?? I find it unlikely because of the 95% effective rate but I'm super paranoid ://

A 95% effective rate means 5 in every 100 women will go on to have a pregnancy after taking the MAP.

As your period is now late you should get a positive result if you are pregnant; I would take a test and see what happens. It is also possible that, for whatever reason, you ovulated late this cycle and your period isn’t actually late yet.

The map delays ovulation. That's how it works. It's not effective if taken after you ovulate.

So if you ovulate late, your period is late.

Take a test and go from there.

Good luck.
