Had my 20 week scan last week and the sonographer noticed that I have increased amniotic fluid and the baby's abdomen was on the large side. It was recommended that I took a diabetes test but this has come back negative.

I'm not in the UK, and all healthcare here is private. Doctor now wants to give me a TORCH test which I will need to pay a lot of money for.

Has anyone experienced this before? I'm not sure what to do. Don't know if the doctor is just suggesting these additional tests as a way to make more money, or if it's actually really important to have this done, or if my baby is just a bit on the large side? Any advice would be greatly appreciated x
