Induction at 37 weeks

I’m being induced this week at 37 weeks. It’s my 2nd baby. I was 4 days over with my first and had a pretty quick, straightforward labour.

Doctor said today my cervix was starting to open which I know is a good sign. Has anyone been in a similar position and how long did your induction take?

I’m so nervous about being induced and hoping it doesn’t take days 🙈

Yup 37&6 cervix had also started doing what it needed to. Pessary in 8:30pm removed following morning & baby was here by 2pm gas & air vagina delivery :)

Amazing experience is my first

Good luck wishing you an amazing exp!

Why are you being induced so early? I was induced at 37 weeks due to severe pre eclampsia - my labour was pretty short which apparently is very common in ladies with high blood pressure. Only took one pessary to kick start labour and I delivered 10 hours after it was inserted. Good luck!
