Hey ladies! Anyone due June? I’m 34 weeks today! I had my home visit yesterday, and I’m measuring a week behind. If I’m measuring small again at my next appointment I’ll be sent for a growth scan. Has anyone had this before? Thank you!

Hiya! I'm 34 + 5 today so due next month too. I was sent for a growth scan at 28 weeks as my bump was measuring small. I felt quite anxious but glad I had a scan as all was fine.
Growth scans are more accurate as they measure the size of your baby rather than your bump.

Thanks hun! Midwife mentioned if they think baby’s growing small they may look at inducing me at 37 weeks. Not long now for us! Xx

Hi! I’m 35 weeks today and, like gossip girl, I was sent for a growth scan at 28 weeks due to bump measuring below the 5th centile. Baby was perfectly sized, actually measured above the 50th, not sure exactly where but somewhere between the middle and top line of my growth chart. These babies are just really good at hiding! The sonographer said the tape measures are notoriously inaccurate so try not to worry. Good luck with everything! We’re nearly there 😁!!

Hi congratulations!

I had lots of growth scans (at least 5 I think) but each time it turned out to be a fuss about nothing / everything was absolutely fine and the baby was on track.

The only way the scans did impact me was this - I wasn't allowed to give birth in the birth centre as they had a policy that only women who had had their 2 routine scans at 12 and 20 weeks could give birth there. A silly rule imo as the scans had always turned out to be unnecessary and I wasn't high risk but there you go! If anything had come of the scans or they were worried about baby I'd have understood. I ended up on labour ward but it turned out that it didn't actually matter at all as the only reason I'd wanted the birth centre at all was to use the birth pool but the labour ward room also had a pool so I still got the water birth I'd wanted. I gave birth to a healthy baby boy who weighed just under 9 lb. Every birth centre and hospital probably has different policies, just thought it would be helpful for you to hear my experience. Good luck with everything .
