Anyone else wishing 12 weeks would hurry up?

Hi All,
This is my first pregnancy and I don’t know about anyone else, but I just want my 12 week scan to hurry up!
I have the first midwife appointment on Wednesday and the 12 week scan booked for 7th June. But all this waiting around is worrying me and I’m very impatient and want to know if everything is okay.
My hubby is also desperate to tell people but I keep having to remind him it’s too soon!
Anyone else on first pregnancy and in limbo? 😬

Yes but I'm booking a private scan for next Saturday, 7+0.

Aaaaaargh, so much!

I've only known I'm pregnant for 2 weeks, and that already feels like a lifetime. No ideas how I'll make it to the 12 week scan, especially as DH doesn't want to tell anyone at all until then.

@TTc2019BabyNo1 YES! I am only around 5 weeks pregnant and I'm so anxious that something could go wrong! I just want to be at that mark and for the risks to reduce. It's our first baby too.

Yup! I have 2 weeks to wait for my scan and I’ll be almost 13 weeks then. I just can’t wait to see baby on screen and feel like I am actually pregnant!

I'm 7+1 and we've known for around 3 weeks. It's been the longest 3 weeks ever. I can't believe I have to wait another 5 for a scan then far too many more to count after that.

Ahh I’m glad it’s not just me 😂!
An early private scan sounds like a good idea but I don’t have private healthcare 😞!
Good luck for all your scans ladies! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you all!
Has anyone told anyone yet? I think i’m going to tell work soon as i’ll need time off for appointments but not telling the family until we’re happy everything’s okay...!

@TTc2019BabyNo1 you don't need private healthcare for early private scan. Lots of places like baby bond window to the womb etc so then. They're not cheep but sometimes you can get offers

I'm 6+1 and I just want to get to 12 weeks so I feel a bit safer what with the risk going down. I had an early nhs scan and saw a heartbeat but I'm a worrier! Just wish I could fast forward and have a healthy baby.

I felt like that in my first pregnancy too....desperate to tell everyone but held back! I'm nearly 9 weeks now and it's going slowly. I had a nasty shock at a 10 week scan last year (baby of about 9 weeks in size but no heartbeat) so I'm holding out for the next two weeks. Because I'm older (43) and had a miscarriage last year people don't ask me about another baby and have probably written me off, so it would be such a nice thing to share if it works out this time.

Yes! I'm 9+4 weeks and found out when I was 5 weeks. The last 4 weeks seem to have lasted forever!

I'm 8+2 with first pregnancy, have booking in appointment on Thurs, no scan date yet though. I can't wait! I really want to tell everyone. I've been suffering quite a bit so can't wait to start feeling better too...

Still 4 weeks until 12week scan and it's taking forever. Only DH knows.

Yes! I'm 7+6. Annoyingly I've had my booking in appt, so should be getting my appt for first scan apparently in the post, but I'm on holiday so don't know when it might be.

I've booked myself a private scan for £90 though. Feel a bit silly. I'll be 8+4 by then. I just wanna know!

I'm really anxious too. I already have three children but the last time I was pregnant was 11 years ago! I'm going to be 39 in a few months so I feel much more worried than I did before. I'm only 5 weeks.

@TTc2019BabyNo1. Depending on where you live you can get a private scan for about £70-100.

Yes, I am in this boat! Only found out I am pregnant on Friday and have never been pregnant before. It's all very exciting and nerve wracking at the same time! I am definitely going to book in for an early scan. You can get them where I am for about £70. Worth every penny! Just have to get passed these next couple of weeks....

Yes it is dragging for me massively. I feel like I've known I was pregnant forever.
I'm very much looking forward to the first scan and my bump. I don't mind after that. I absolutely adore being pregnant, just not the first 3 months.

After the 12 week wait it just turns into the 20 week wait, then the 24 week wait....and so on...Smile
