Pressure in back when leaning back/ lying down

Hello everyone

I just wondered if anyone has had this. I rang the midwife and she didn't seem concerned.
Whenever I am sitting down (even at a 90 degree angle) and put any pressure on my back, my head feels pressurised and i feel slightly sick. I can't lie on either side without the weight of my belly pulling and causing the same feeling.
The only way i feel comfortable is if I'm sat bolt upright with nothing behind me on the edge of the sofa. But after while it hurts my back as i have no support.
Any positional advice? I'm assuming I'm compressing blood vessels or nerves but i don't know how to stop it.
Thanks for any advice.

No direct answer I'm afraid but on my maternity notes (Glasgow area) there are various numbers for additional services, including physiotherapy. Might be worth checking if you have a specific maternity physio in your area who could give more advice than a midwife.
