Hello Ladies, I'm now 16 weeks and think it's time to start rubbing son stretch mark magic on my belly to prevent them.

What are the best to use?

Bio oil worked for me all three times I don't have a single stretch mark.

No idea if it was the oil or just plain good luck on the genetics front but I wasn't going to risk it and see what happened if I didn't use the oil.

Bio oil definitely

Cantthinknc · 06/05/2019 10:04

I've heard it's more genetics, I used bio-oil but didn't use it regularly enough because it takes so long to sink in.
Asda do a mum to be kit that has a body butter that's nice and moisturising which I've been using instead as you dont have to wait around for it to dry.
I have got a few new stretch marks but for some reason they're already pale/skin coloured which is fine by me! I was always going to get them though as I had some before pregnancy and my mum got loads!

The cocoa butter stretch mark cream was really good. Used it on red stretch marks when they first started to appear and they disappeared! Not sure if they still make it as this was a few years ago.

yearinyearout · 06/05/2019 10:05

Sorry, forgot to say it's palmers.

Mikewazowskismrs · 06/05/2019 10:07

I use palmers cocoa butter too.

I already had stretch marks (very light in colour) and they haven’t got any worse so far at almost 38 weeks.

I use plain baby oil on my bump, or coconut oil. Mainly because it's itchy. Genetics are the main factor in stretch marks so there's not much we can do

AnotherRubberDuck · 06/05/2019 11:15

None. They're all as bad as each other!
They wont prevent you from getting stretch marks but there are some good ones which will fade the ones you do get.
