I’m currently 7/8 weeks, I had really bad nausea, sore breasts, tiredness. This is my 3rd pregnancy. Have 1 Dd, easy pregnancy and a Mmc last year, loss of symptoms in hindsight. I’m worrying as I’ve woken up today not sick, breasts not sore. Am I just worrying or should I see GP? No pain or bleeding but didn’t have with MC last year,

Hi @AmC39, sorry, not much help but feel i'm in a similar position as you jumping on your thread. On my 4th pregnancy one of which was a MMC earlier this year. I'm 6+4 and sickness started on Wednesday just gone. It crippled me yesterday and I spend most of the afternoon in bed. Woke up this morning feeling absolutely fine. With my MMC I didn't start to feel sick until 8 weeks and the baby had stopped developing at 6. With my other two successful pregnancies I felt sick from 8 weeks and this continued until around 16 weeks. I am going to leave it to see if the sickness returns in a few days. I guess each pregnancy is different.

Are you having an early scan? I don't feel I can wait out 12weeks due to previous MMC so have arranged a private 8 week scan.

Hi snowflake, I am definitely going to have an early scan I’m just not sure when to go. I never had sickness with last 2 pregnancies like I have this time, so to wake up today fine has just scared me. I have my 1st MW app on Tuesday but was considering maybe GP for EPU referral tomorrow if I feel the same. I’m just scared! Thank you for responding snowflakeeel!

I’ve had severe sickness in this pregnancy and there were odd hours/ days when it went away. Your hormones could be starting to reduce now, which might make it start to ease off (mine came back!)

I would go for an early scan, probably just best to google in your area. But until you see blood, it’s all still fine. Don’t forget once you lose a baby the hormones usually stay around for a while giving you pregnancy symptoms so don’t judge the loss of them.

I had very very high hcg levels in pregnancy, which is one thing that can cause extreme pregnancy symptoms. The flip side of this, is that there is a lower chance of miscarriage in these pregnancies, if that helps

AmC39 · 05/05/2019 19:34

Thank you passthecherrycoke, yes I think I will go tomorrow, I have googled everything but I need peace of mind. I had no bleeding until 11+4 last time, yet baby had gone at 5 weeks. I don’t want that to happen again I’d rather know now than wait for 12 week scan!!

So sorry @AmC39, it's such a horrible thing to experience. I know how you feel about wanting to know now! that 12 week wait is going to feel excruciating if I don't get a scan before.
I spoke to my doctor about an early scan once I found I had conceived and she recommended I go around 8 weeks. I guess you could go anytime now. Have you found any local ultrasound clinics? X

Passthecherrycoke · 05/05/2019 19:58

I had an early private scan at 6 weeks (because of the severe symptoms I was in a lot of pain) it was hugely reassuring and only £70. I’d recommend it to anyone

Im pregnant with baby #3 im 7 weeks tomorrow. For the past week iv barely got off the sofa due to terrible nausea but iv been fine all day today! So strange. Im also worrying but cant afford a private scan.

agteacht · 05/05/2019 22:03

Hey @AmC39
I am in a similar position. I'm hoping it's normal! I had a scan at 7+5 which was very reassuring but no real symptoms since about a week ago and I'm 9 weeks today. Let us know how your scan goes x

AmC39 · 06/05/2019 09:00

Private scan here is £100 but I don’t care, I’ll pay whatever for the reassurance! Bank holiday today so it’s unlikely I’ll get one but can book online for during the week. Agteacht, I’m assuming you’re in Irelandtoo? Did you go private go scan? Ohdearymemumof3 that’s how I’ve been I have read that symptoms can come and go which I really hope is happening with me too! Thanks everyone x

Hi @AmC39 I'm Irish living in London. Had a private scan here. Don't know the private scan set up in Ireland I'm afraid as been here since finished college. Think I'll book another one this week just to (hopefully) ease my nerves.

agteacht · 06/05/2019 19:23

Hi again @AmC39
Given I was feeling so anxious I booked in last minute for a scan. All fine and a lovely heartbeat 💗
Measuring 9+1 today in line with my dates. So I think I need to step away from google!

But also hopefully reassuring for anyone else with either brown spotting and / or loss of nausea and other symptoms. It's the not knowing that's so difficult but all is well 😊
My poor husband must think I've gone mental!

AmC39 · 06/05/2019 20:43

Fab news Agteacht!! Set up here is a nightmare EPU weren’t interested in seeing me an GP on bank holiday mode! Eventually after a long sit in A&E I got to see my little blob with a healthy heartbeat 7+5!! So different from seeing nothing last year, such a relief even for a few weeks!! Congratulations to us!! Xx

Oh that's just brilliant @AmC39
It's crazy how anxious this little thing can make you isn't it!! So relieved for you, it's such a lovely feeling. Hadn't thought of A&E as an option for you.
Do you have a 12w scan booked in?
Mine's 28 May and then I'm home in Ireland the week after when I'm 13w so planning on telling my mam then, that's the milestone I'm aiming for!

AmC39 · 07/05/2019 13:25

Just got my scan date at booking today, 10th June!! I’ll be about 12 weeks!! Will be counting the days until then!!! Xx
