Anterior placenta when did you start feeling movement

Just wondering when people started to feel daily movement with an anterior placenta. I have been feeling flutters in one spot since around 16 weeks but some times I can go nearly a week without feeling anything and in that time constantly worry something bad has happened. My midwife said I should be feeling daily movement by 20 weeks but this is not the case should I be concerned?

I didn't feel daily movement until about 23/24 weeks.

At 20 weeks it was very hit or miss.

My husband couldn't feel the baby until I was 22 weeks.

My midwife said not to worry until 24 weeks although I felt my first gentle movements around 20 weeks. I'm nearly 25 weeks now and it's still a bit hit and miss depending on where he is.

about 22/23 weeks and was only here and there I'm now currently 36 weeks and feel baby moving at night but still not much!. I'm high risk so I get scans all the time so I know the baby is fine. I felt so much more movement with my first 2 when i didn't have an anterior placenta

About 22 weeks before I felt anything at all. It does seem to make quite a difference

I was told at my 20 week scan with my first that I had an anterior placenta and therefore probably wouldn't feel movements for a while longer. I certainly had no awareness of having felt any movements at 20 weeks. I don't recall when I actually did but it could easily have been 22/23 weeks. (that child is now mid teens so memories hazy!)

Around 21 weeks but took a week more to feel anything like a kick and a few days more for it to be daily.

Thanks for your replies ladies nice to know it's normal not to be feeling anything.

I’m 29 weeks and have only began to feel daily movement in the last couple of weeks. It’s quite subdued movement compared to a normal placenta position I think. I’ve only felt one kick at 24 weeks

maddieharrison · 05/05/2019 18:58

23 weeks for me. He booted me and since then I felt odd movements. When I was about 27 weeks I felt it regularly from then onwards.
Congratulations on your pregnancy :-)

24 weeks for me. I was starting to become anxious so glad the movement finally came!

20 weeks for the movements to become definite. Have had flutters from around 16 weeks but they were the type you’d mistake for gas! I’m 23 weeks now and it’s only in last week that they’ve become defined kicks. I feel them more easily to the sides of my bump and low down.

Thankyou looks like I've got a few more weeks of waiting then 🙈 x

Im 17 weeks with an anterior placenta too, thought I had felt flutters last week a few times but nothing since so it might just have been gas. My midwife says it can be over 20 weeks until I feel kicks so another few weeks yet.
