Bloody show and feeling horrific

I’m 35 weeks along in my pregnancy. Last night was spent awake, in the loo, with severe period type cramps and this morning I’ve got what I’m assuming is my bloody show.

No contractions proper, just cramps. No waters breaking.

I’m shattered and sore and worried as it’s so early - and I’m not even in labour yet. How the fuck am I going to cope?

I’d appreciate any words of wisdom, especially any that would help with the pain/desperate wish to sleep.

At 35 weeks you are pre term and need to contact your maternity unit immediately.

Yes you need to phone your maternity unit this morning to let them know ASAP. They’ll probably want you in for monitoring. Hope everything is ok!

Is this your first baby OP? Only asking to see if you have a point of comparison for contractions.

First baby.

I was in triage last night pre cramps and show and sent home. I’ll give them another call

Contractions start off as feeling like cramps before ramping up as labour progresses. It definitely sounds like something might be happening so definitely give them a call. Good luck OP!

Oh and maybe start timing the cramps
