Blood test results

So on my first midwife appointment at 10 weeks I had my blood taken for all those various tests for iron etc but I haven't heard anything back? I thought I would get a letter with my results or a call but nothing. I'm now 15+4 so it's almost been 6 weeks. Do they give me the results at my 16 week appointment? this is my first pregnancy so I have no idea how it all works Confused

They write to you if there is a problem but otherwise give you results at 16 week appointment. No news is good news!

I think I got mine at the appointment I had after my 12 week scan. I'd say no news is good news- I had a letter from the doctors within the week about my booking urine sample as it picked up a UTI but didn't hear about my bloods, as it turned out they were all good.
You could ring up your GP if you want reassuring but if your 16 week appt is coming up I think you'll prob be sorted then Smile

No news is good news! I had my booking in today and midwife said she's only call of an issue if not discuss at 16 week

I got a letter back from the hospital telling me my bloods were all normal. I have to put it with my notes. Different hospitals do it different ways tho, so yours might just send the results straight to your midwife, and if you had anything to worry about they would have contacted you to deal with it x

I was worried they forgot about me or something haha but I will wait until my 16 week appointment, thank you all! Xx

As others have said, they usually don't tell you until the next appointment. I managed to get mine early though as I had some vitamin levels done at the same time via my GP. I was quite glad I did because it showed my haemoglobin and haematocrit levels were just under/ borderline normal so I've been able to do something proactive about that already (I knew what they were a year ago so they are definitely low for me now) - and it explained why I was feeling so weak and tired!

I was advised to ring the GP after 7 days about mine and when I did, they asked me to go in due to some odd readings. Try your GP ?
