Hi,

Wanting to know if someone can help me with what may be the best thing to do here. I started my new job at the beginning of April and I have been informed I have to do induction training on the 20th May for 4 days. Work dont as yet know I am pregnant and was going to tell them when I have my scan date through but on the induction I have to do Moving & Handling training as work for a care company do I tell my manager the week before I do the training or keep quiet??

Thanks

I’d tell them. You’re safety is more important.

@Aims4488 I told my boss at work because I sometimes had to do restraining at work, and I 2as on the list of people who were trained and so could get called up if needed, so I told my boss near enough as soon as I found out because I didn't feel safe doing it anymore, she was really good about it and hasn't told anyone else so it's not been an issue.

Thanks both I am going to tell my manager next week as my friend said really she should be aware in case anything happens whilst at work and for appointments. Plus once I have done the induction training if we can never cover a care visit I will have to go out to do it and of course dont want to put myself at risk at all. Luckily that doesnt happen much & majority of my work is in an office but still better to be safe than sorry xx
