Huge hard lump next to belly button. It's not the baby?! 34 weeks

So I have this lump that's rock hard I can cup my hand over it when laying down. Stomach turns into triangle shape. Thought it was baby for months but it's NEVER moved. Even when pressing it stays there. It simply can't be the baby. Midwife shrugged when mentioned it. I'm getting worried now. Should I just book a private scan? Anyone else had something similar? It's not painful and feels like it's gotten bigger, as I have...

Could it be a hernia? I'd make an appointment with your GP.

@Chanandlersbong I'm thinking this too. It's gotten huge now. I'm going to go in to the hospital to get looked at. No point calling GP I'm almost 8 months pregnant and still impossible to get an apt there lol. I'd have had the baby by then

@HJ82 yeah I see what you mean. Can be a bit hopeless sometimes trying to get a doctors appointment. With ours you've got more chance of an audience with the pope! Good luck.

Oh I heard of something similar recently from a friend who’s pregnant. She was told it’s a hernia but the doctors didn’t seem concerned at all and aren’t doing anything to remove it or anything. Prob best get it checked out anyway

My DS had something sticking out from the left side of my rib cage for weeks, it was painful, pretty sure he had bruised me. Get it checked out but I wouldn't worry about it too much.

It does sound like a hernia. You should see the GP, but unlikely they can treat you until after baby is born
