I'm eight weeks and having crazy up and down food cravings, it's driving me bananas. Didn't have this with my first pregnancy. Also feeling really sick, so double whammy. Yesterday I drove to Sainsburys at 9 at night as I HAD to have pickled squid and artichokes. Now the thought makes me feel sick, right now I just really really want a Waldorf salad (I don't have the ingredients in). Two days ago it was quiche lorraine and now half of it is languishing in the fridge because the thought makes me want to vomit. It's not just a 'I quite fancy that', it's 'if I can't have this right now I might cry.' I'm not normally like this!
This is really not practical because a) I have a toddler (with egg allergy) and a husband (with nut allergy) and I'm trying to make things we can all eat; b) we invariably do not have the required ingredients for my cravings in when they hit and I can't always just nip out with a toddler; c) we are on a really tight food budget (had to take pickles out of my personal 'fun money' allowance yesterday), so I can't really keep going like this. Does anybody have any tips? I have a good variety of food at home generally but these cravings are so specific!
