Hi all,

stood up to go to the loo and felt a really horrible sharp pain across my lower stomach (a couple of seconds)

I then went the loo and found a significant amount of bright red blood when I wiped. I'm wearing a panty liner due to all the usual CM from pregnancy (sorry if TMI) is this normal?

I haven't had any further pain, I've been on hold for 25 minutes to my hospital but over the past week I've had horrific headaches which the hospital told me to take codeine for (I didn't as I don't think I'm supposed to?)

Worried I'm losing my little boy and trying hard not to get into a state

It's not usual, no. But you're doing the right thing by getting in touch with the hospital. It needs investigating but does not mean anything is necessarily wrong. Try not to worry, but get seen.

I had similar last week at 16+1. Only red once when I wiped when I got up in morning then light pink rest of day. Was examined and told all looked fine and no indication of what caused it but super stressful (and am still stressed about it). I didn't have the pain immediately before, but had during the night - thought it was just muscular as I tried to change position but who knows if it was related. Hope you get to speak to someone soon. X

Thanks for the replies I really appreciate it, just on my way to the hospital, 3 times I've checked since it's not got heavier just big spots so maybe that's a good sign

Hey hun how did your appointment go?
I had blood at 13 and 14 weeks and it was bright red. Was told not to worry as it's baby getting comfy x

ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts · 03/05/2019 18:38

Hi everyone, spent 6 hours in the emergency room but everything is fine!

They can't find the reason for why I was bleeding and it seems to of eased off, I and an internal and abdominal ultrasound and baby is doing absolutely fine, they just said they don't know why and sometimes this happens

I'm emotionally exhausted but so happy he's doing okay, the scariest day of my life
