Did you have 'morning' sickness in all your pregnancies?

With DD I had horrid constant sickness for the first 12 weeks.
Now 7 weeks pregnant with DC2 and sickness a lot more up and down. I know I should be glad of the days I get relief but just abit concerned.
Did you have different symptom/ levels of sickness with different pregnancies?

Do you have other symptoms? Nausea can depend on your health - for example when my iron levels are low, even when not pregnant, I get nausea.

ConstanzaAndSalieri · 03/05/2019 10:09

In all three of my pregnancies I had different patterns of nausea...

I had two pregnancies and both different. Very lucky in that no sickness with either. There is no reason at all to be worried because your pregnancies aren't alike xx

1st pregnancy I was sick a lot from week 7 to week 20, in the end around 3-4 times a day, but I only felt nauseous/sick after eating or if I waited too long between meals.
2nd pregnancy, I was actually sick a lot less, but I felt nauseous all day, everyday. It was like being on a boat, so much so that I ended up taking anti emetics.
So, I had sickness both times, but in completely different ways.

Thank you everyone reassuring to hear it's normal. @Teddybear45 I had good iron levels in my last pregnancy. Not had them checked yet with this pregnancy. I am getting aching limbs not sure if it's pregnancy related or not but I don't remember having it last time.

I only had sickness in my second pregnancy and this came and went. First DS second DD but I’m not sure if this makes a difference!

It's nornal to have different symptoms in different pregnancies

Babdoc · 03/05/2019 13:58

Didn’t get morning sickness with either pregnancy, apart from once while trying to resuscitate a cot death in A and E at 5am and once while trying to insert an epidural at 6am. Occasional evening nausea while cooking dinner, but not actually sick.
All women, and all pregnancies, are different OP. If you’re prone to hyperemesis then you may get it in subsequent pregnancies, but otherwise there doesn’t seem much of a pattern.

Jesus babdoc, bit too much detail there.

@catwoman486838 I had horrific nausea with no vomiting and lots of food aversions in my first pregnancy with DD 6-16 weeks. I am 9wks now and my nausea has been so so mild and more a case of when hungry, had a scan at 7+5 and all was fine. So just feel lucky it’s not like first time round. Also suffering more from fatigue and aching this time round.

Pamplem00se · 03/05/2019 17:44

Hypermesis in my girl pregnancies. Occasional vomitting but total exhaustion with my boy and this one. X

outvoid · 03/05/2019 17:48

No I only had it with my boys, nothing at all with my DD’s. No idea why.

milleniumhandandprawn · 03/05/2019 18:32

I had no ms at all with dc1 (a boy) and had it mildly with dc 2 (a girl).
I worried a lot about hormone levels with DS as I'd heard it was a sign of a healthy pregnancy to get ms. Not sure if there's truth in that or not now.
Weirdly I used to get horrible premenstrual nausea before having the dcs and now never do.

Chinks123 · 03/05/2019 18:35

No morning sickness with either of my pregnancies. To be honest I never had any of the ‘usual’ symptoms that my friends would describe- no sickness, no sore boobs, nothing. I never felt pregnant until they started kicking.

Angelinthenightx · 04/05/2019 15:37

Im on baby no.6 and ive felt sick with all of them never been sick so im kinda lucky as i hate being sick its the worst.im now 13wks and still feeling sick, feel kinda worse this time but could be my age.

SleepingStandingUp · 04/05/2019 15:38

With DS I had none, ever. The only day I woke and puked was at about 6 weeks. We'd only found out a few days before but I was exhausted, had a mouthful of coffee and had to run to the loo.

So literally my only symptoms were tiredness and being cold
