I had the nexplanon implant a few years ago. For the first 18 months it was in I didn't bleed at all, no period symptoms nothing. After that I started with cramps, tiredness etc and spotted for about 2 months then the periods came and they were like nothing I had had before. A week before a bleed I was doubled up in agony, my boobs turned to rocks, I couldn't eat etc then when the bleeding started it was like someone had turned on a tap (sorry tmi).

After 6 months of this I had it removed.

They can mimic pregnancy symptoms. Take a couple of tests over the next couple of weeks

Oh Vicky - just seen this. How are you feeling?

Vicky2914 · 03/05/2019 18:18

Very very shocked but excited at the same time. These thing happen for a reason and counting it as a little blessing.
