Nausea help

I’m 6 weeks pregnant and have been feeling horribly sick since 4 plus 4. It’s a constant feeling of wanting to be sick although I’ve only actually been sick once.

I can barely get out of bed I feel so terrible. I managed to cope on my own with my daughter on Monday and Tuesday with my husband coming home early and then have worked from home yesterday and today. Although barely got anything done. Going to hAve to take tomorrow as leave.

I don’t remember feeling like this with my first pregnancy although I was nauseous up until 14 weeks. I didn’t take any time off work either although I have no idea how I’m going to go in next week.

I really want to go to the doctors and ask for anti nausea meds but will they tell me to go away? I’m not actually being sick so maybe I’m being a bit of a weed. The only relief is sleep - but that’s not realistic with a toddler and work!

I feel for you. My nausea started at 5 weeks. I’ve also only been sick a few times but felt quite frankly awful. Around 7 weeks I spent whole days in bed.

I’m now 15 weeks and the nausea has improved but I was sick at the weekend and even lying in bed writing this I’ve been retching.

Eat want you want and when you can and rest as much as you can. It helped when work found out for me (I had some bleeding at work so had to rush home, all was ok) as they have been very sympathetic.

I’m using the travel bands! They’re taking the edge off slightly but still have so much saliva pooling in mouth and constant feeling of wanting to be sick. I don’t think I can hack 8 more weeks of this Sad

I was on anti sickness medication for severe nausea. I felt sick from the moment I woke up until the moment I went to sleep from week 6-18

I was very rarely actually sick but the nausea was debilitating. I was on Promethazine which definitely helped

Thanks that’s good to know. Might need to get to the docs tomorrow and see what they say. I’m lying in bed feeling absolutely wretched and have been all day
