Should I be worried

Hi all, I'm aware of the main symptoms of preeclampsia however I'm experiencing a few things that have me a little worried. Any advice would be lovely.

I'm currently 35+6 and getting about 2 mild headaches a day and some spotting in my vision, not a lot and it's not constant but I notice it. No nausea or dizziness at all, should I call up or just monitor it. It's the first time I've experienced this during my pregnancy.

Tia.

Call up- blood pressure can creep up quite suddenly at the end and needs looking at. And they will be glad if it's nothing!

Absolutely call up. I had similar and although I never had protein in my urine, I did have high BP and was monitored several times a week in case it changed.

I would always err on the side of caution and call for some advice. They won’t think you are being silly or wasting time but they will know the right questions to ask you and whether to arrange for you to be seen for an extra check. It most likely isn’t anything untoward but best to report anything odd to the people that know and let them decide. I think one of the golden rules of pregnancy is if YOU feel worried or uneasy about something (regardless of what other people think) then speak to the midwife to be sure.

I’m 35+3 at the moment with my second. Not long to go now!

Get yourself a blood pressure gauge and check daily. They are very cheap.

Call up the triage line and ask them what they think. I had some spots in my vision last week and called and spoke to them, they asked about my symptoms and as they weren’t too severe they didn’t have me come in, but said to see my GP that day. Thankfully it was all fine and they think it was a visual migraine but no one acted like I was wasting time asking, and it’s better to just check.

Thanks everyone,

I did call and was told it's nothing to worry about. My BP reading yesterday wasn't anything to worry about I think I got the wrong impression and worried myself. I'll most certainly call back if these headaches continue though.

Thanks again Smile
