blood test

i have three kids all of which it took till i was 8 or 9 weeks pregnant to get a + but this time i wanted to know early so i went to the doctors at 8 days late got a blood test it was only a 2, so we are kinda wait and see till next friday when i go back, i was just wondering if anyone else is as strange as me or heard of anyone please email your responces i wont know how to get back here, i only found it on google.thanks. the betabase site is a great source of info on beta levels, doubling times etc.

I'm the same hun, i didn't get a +ive till i was at least 8 or 9 weeks pg, its juts the hormone level isn't strong in me at first.

hi - i am onto my second pregnancy following a spontaneous miscarriage 10 weeks ago (conceived without a period in between) - last week ultrasound showed fetal sac but nothing inside and they reckoned i was about 5 1/2 weeks. they did a blood test to make sure - my levels went from 7000 to 6000 in 2 days and have stabilised around 6000 now. i know they are supposed to double every 2 days. i no longer feel pregnant. am obviously concerned this is a missed miscarriage, but on going for another scan yesterday, they saw the sac had grown and there is a little blob inside, but still no heartbeat visible. we are going back next week to see more. does anyone know what these blood hormone levels mean? have looked at betabase site and can't quite work it all out. you guys are talking about levels of 2 - i've been given levels in thousands. any ideas most welcome.
