Well ladies getting the hospital bag together and wondering could someone in the know link me suitable comfy post birth undies! Some people recommend disposable underwear but which ones and where can they be got? Or big comfy granny pants should they come up high just encase of having a section? Thanks all

Matalan. Really cheap, really comfy, really long lasting...they’re stretchy/Lycra type and great as they stay up. They’re really soft so no problem with ‘wounds’.

I had some disposables but actually preferred these huge granny ones my DP managed to find in the onsite chemist! Grin would have been better if we’d been prepared though. So personally I would recommend big cotton pants that are 2 or 3 sizes bigger than your usual size- and yes, ones that come up high are good for c-section. Good luck op!

I would definitely get high waist pants. I bought some full briefs from M&S 2 sizes bigger than normal for my last pregnancy. I didn’t have a c section, but I did need bigger pants anyway towards the end of pregnancy and these were so comfy pre and post birth. Maternity knickers were expensive, so I didn’t bother with those.

I tried disposable underwear but they were quite uncomfortable imo.
I bought big granny pants from Primark. Comfy and cheap enough that you won't feel bad if you have to throw them away.

M&S full briefs - modal/cotton mix. Honestly the most amazing things I've ever worn. Regular size still fits me at 34 weeks (although am carrying small) but I've sized up 2 sizes for extra comfort when I need it - long car or plane journeys etc.

Black cotton pants that are at least 2 sizes bigger, doesn't really matter where they are from (got mine from asda).

Be warned now that you will be tempted to wear them for way longer after birth than you probably should Grin

Just larger Primark cotton pants with pads did the job here( tons and tons of them;))

High waisted massive ones I say; I wore mine for a few weeks (maybe 6) as I couldn’t cope with the rubbing on my scar. Oddly enough the ones I bought all seemed to be tight on the leg so I snapped the elastic on them for comfort

I bought a few packs of full briefs from Sainsbury’s two sizes bigger than my pre-pregnancy size. They are so comfortable that I’m still wearing them now 5 months post-natal!
