I know they are in the public eye and of course have a team of stylists but I just feel awful. Hardly any of the shops stock maternity clothes so how on earth are you supposed to feel nice ?? I'm just living in leggings and big T-shirt's.

I apologise for the rant but it's just another standard that real women can't live up to and it really annoys me.

Amen 🙌🏻 Stuff having to live up to that standard though. We are the real women!💪🏼 I’m living my best life in pyjamas and hoodies and luckily with the weather being nice I am able to get the old maxi dresses out that can be quite flattering! Apart from when I forget to shave my legs that are growing at incredible speeds! Don’t take notice of all that BS! I really hate social media for this reason xx

Yes! I've noticed there's hardly any maternity clothes in shops, even new look and h and m have hardly any stock in. I've twice ordered online and got some awful sized, ugly dresses I had to return. Also resorted to leggings and t shirts, had to wear maxi dresses constantly on Easter holidays as my legs are massive, swollen and black and blue with pregnancy related varicose veins. I do see some pregnant women wearing nicer stuff. Wonder where they're shopping.

Theyre probably buying really expensive maternity wear online (same as the celebs!)

Nearly 22 weeks here and living in leggings, mat jeans from last pregnancy and a load of tops from BooHoo. Cant justify spending loads of money on stuff that wont fit in 6 months when i have a baby to buy for!

eBay is great for maternity wear. I've bought a few bundles from there of lovely clothes without breaking the bank. Agree that the high street is now very limited. It makes shopping difficult.

I strongly disagree! I'm absolutely loving maternity fashion. I've bought so many lovely dresses from ASOS and New Look - all in the sale as well.

I bought my 1st pair of maternity jeans from New Look (in store) and they're great - stretchy black skinny jeans and really flattering. For £15.99.

Maybe the trick is buying online, ok it's a bit of a faff because I had to order everything in 2 sizes but its free returns so no big deal to me.

I also bought loads online from George at Asda, so cheap! I'm going to post some links for inspo..

I'm also finding it frustrating that no shops sell maternity wear in store Hmm
I bought maternity clothes in January online, the jeans still fit me fine and will to the end but I had bought winter tops like jumpers and cardigans which really aren't suitable any more. So frustrating not being able to just go into town to buy a few tops to keep me going for the last few weeks
