Pregnant on Mirena Coil

Hi ladies, I'm on the mirena coil and was wondering what the likelihood is of falling pregnant while on the coil? I've had it about a year now I think, but the last few days have just "felt pregnant" difficult to explain but I can't shake this nagging feeling that I'm pregnant, and have woken up this morning really achey and crampy across my stomach and feeling nauseous, may be a bug of course that my children have brought home and decided to share...

I dug out an old pregnancy dip test (still in date) and got the faintest of faint pink lines this morning (not fmu) but I guess there's the possibility it's an evap line??

Hoping someone can offer some insight? Also what are the chances of it being an ectopic? Thanks in advance x

No personal experience but didn’t want to read and run, I know it does happen no contraception is 100% but unfortunately you will only know if you take more tests with first morning urine or get the GP to check you out and maybe do a blood test? Take care and best of luck

Take another test with fmu and if it's positive (even a faint positive) give your GP or epu a ring. There is an increased risk of ectopic with the coil so if you are pregnant you'll need an early scan. Signs to look out for include strange bleeding, one sided pain and shoulder tip pain.
