I am 18 weeks and 5 days and this is my second pregnancy and been feeling movements since around 16 weeks by 17 weeks I was feeling so munch movements and really quite strong but the best 2 days I have hardly felt much just every now and then a little kick. Should I be worried that it's changed or is this just normal at the stage? I am sure I did the same with my daughter at this stage I freaked out and called the midwife 😂😂

It’s pretty normal at this stage. I think it depends which way they are facing - there’s still plenty of space for them to move around in there, and if they face the back, it’s really hard to feel them.

I felt movements many days around 16 weeks, then they just stopped. I was quite worried, but the threads I read on mumsnet calmed me down a lot, and baby seemed to turn around again by about 18 weeks. He seems fine now...

This exact thing happened to me last pregnancy. I got so anxious I phoned the midwife team in tears. They were brilliant - reassured me that this was totally normal at this stage but got me in for a Doppler to calm me down. Heard heartbeat and all was well. As PP has said, they have so much space to move around you often don't feel them consistently so early on.

They say your baby should be in a pattern by around 24 weeks so any changes in pattern from then is when its cause for concern. At the moment there is still quite a bit of room so it will feel different depending on where abouts baby is. As long as you still feel baby here and there it should be no cause for concern.

Hopefully not too long till your next scan so that should reassure you a bit too.
